@nikitennessen What’s the one called from the guy who agreed with me on Uranus potentially being a partnership planet?
::Hi, Olivia! I think it depends. I think half of our oversight group members are men. It seems to me there are more male astrologers than say psychic work. If I had to guess, it’s probably a cultural issue. If you look back through history, most astrologers were men. In Sumer, they had whole convents of women astronomer-astrologers. I think it shifted toward more male dominated during Babylonian times, and then only recently became more open to women. But again, that was likely culturally driven. But I don’t know for sure.
::@yasmiouglas Yeah, I consider Mars Venus conjunctions a twin-flame indicator.

::Hey, totally off topic. Does anyone know of any good horror movies void of sex scenes? I let my mom babysit my daughter when she was 4-yrs old, and I came home to find them watching Alien–one of the scariest movies ever. She’s been into them ever since. She’s 8 now, and we about to finish all the Alien and Predator movies, but I don’t get out much, so I don’t know what good horror flicks are out there these days.
::I do relationship synastry readings. I’m not sure how other people do them, but I read each individual’s natal first, the primarily compare conjunctions first with the other aspects as secondary. Rarely do I try to pull in constellational info at that point, as I’ve already covered it in the natal portion to see how the planets are going to be acting as a default… in which case, I can see how someone can give awesome synastry info even if they’re using tropical. I’d be interested to see how other people do it.
::@nikitennessen I think the more you understand astrology and its history, the more frustrating the tropical argument becomes. People who only have a surface-level knowledge don’t seem quite as affected by it 🤷♀️
::@Rikki I’m self-taught too, but when I started studying, there weren’t really any Mesopotamian astrology resources outside of the scholarly material, and there still aren’t, save for some Babylonian-specific courses. But I wasn’t aware of them at the time. Of course, I’m a research junkie, so I’m not sure I’d have it any other way 😀
::@nikitennessen I did go back to daily meditation–AND I got pushed pretty hard to take a step back from trying to do ALL the things, which I did, and it’s been fabulous!! It’s good to listen to the currents, eh? 😀
::Thanks @cadent-houses 🙏 Yes, I’m SUPER grateful for Vedic astrology. I don’t think it’ll ever make sense to me, but I have nothing but love and respect for people who practice it. But legitimately, if Jyotisha hadn’t held on the sidereal zodiac, who knows where the field would be.
