ISAA Community Blog Submission Guidelines

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about posting to the Sidereal Astrology Community Blog. If you have any questions, email us at Submissions@SiderealInternational.org.

I. Introduction

Welcome to the ISAA Sidereal Astrology Community Blog—a shared space for anyone passionate about real sky astrology. Whether you’re a seasoned sidereal astrologer, a curious beginner, or someone exploring the stars from your own cultural or spiritual tradition, you’re invited to read, reflect, and contribute.

This blog is open to everyone, regardless of ISAA Membership. We welcome diverse perspectives and voices from across the sidereal spectrum and encourage submissions from all traditions, lineages, and levels of experience.

II. Blog Content

A. Suggested Topics

Articles may explore any topic, as long as they relate to sidereal astrology. Posts may include personal experiences, chart analysis, philosophical musings, research, teaching pieces, mythological studies, interviews, and more!

B. Prohibited Content

Duplicate Content

We’re excited to feature content that’s fresh, thoughtful, and written just for the ISAA Community Blog. It’s fine to revisit topics you’ve explored elsewhere, but please don’t copy and paste from your website, social media, or other platforms. Instead, rework your ideas into something new and engaging for our readers. We’re building a shared library of sidereal wisdom—not reposting what’s already out there.

AI Generated Content

We ask that all submissions come from you, not an AI. While tools can help with editing or brainstorming, the final piece should reflect your own voice and experience. We may use AI detection tools when reviewing posts. This space is for real stories, insights, and perspectives from real people—and we can’t wait to read yours.

III. Blog Submissions

Include

Please Submit the following with your content:

  • Suggested Title and Subtitle
  • Author Name (Pen names are permitted)
  • Citations if necessary (include at the end of the blog post)

Length & Formatting

  • Minimum Word Count: 500 words
  • Recommended Word Count: 800+ words

Author Bio

Every blog post contains an “About the Author” section at the bottom of their post. All contributors can provide a brief bio (3 to 4 sentences) in the 3rd person, which includes things like their name and astrological practices, and any other information they’d like. However, only ISAA Student, Professional, and Founding Members may provide links to their websites and social media accounts.

IV. Editing and Approval

To help keep the blog clear and easy to read, all submissions go through a light editorial review. Our editors may fix small things like spelling, grammar, or formatting, and they might add subheadings (like H2s or H3s) to organize your post and make it more reader-friendly.

We’ll always do our best to preserve your unique voice and message. Our goal is to support your writing, not change it. However, because ISAA is an educational organization, it’s important that all published content meets basic standards for clarity, readability, and professionalism in English. This helps ensure that our blog is a trusted resource for readers from all backgrounds and levels of experience.

V. Respectful Expression

We welcome editorial and opinion pieces, including those that explore political or religious themes as they relate to sidereal astrology. However, content that strongly promotes or criticizes specific political candidates, religious figures, or ideologies may be returned with revision requests or declined.

The ISAA values free expression and diverse viewpoints, and we aim to foster a respectful, inclusive space where astrologers of all traditions and backgrounds feel welcome. When writing, please keep our community spirit in mind and consider how your words might be received by a broad and varied audience.

VI. Publication Rights and Sharing

By submitting your work to the ISAA Sidereal Astrology Community Blog, you agree to grant ISAA the right to publish and host your article on our website. We encourage you to share it widely! Feel free to post links to your article on your own website, in newsletters, or across your social media platforms.

However, to keep the content unique to the ISAA blog, we ask that you don’t repost the full article elsewhere (including on your own site). Instead, you’re welcome to share a short excerpt with a link back to the full piece on our blog. This helps preserve the value of our growing archive and ensures your contribution gets the attention it deserves right here in our community space.
