Long before Gemini was associated with Castor and Pollux, the two figures in the constellation of Gemini were known as MULMAŠ.TAB.BA(GAL.GAL) 𒀯𒈦𒋰𒁀(𒃲𒃲), the Great Twins. While they were described as brothers, the names attributed to them were Lugalirra and Meslamtae(a); both epithets for the god of the death, pestilence, and the underworld, Nergal—the god embodied in the planet Mars.

I spent most of the day thinking about Jupiter moving into Gemini and what that would mean for me personally, but also for the world as a whole. One of the significations of Jupiter is foreigners and foreign travel. As I looked back at past events of when Jupiter was in the constellation of Gemini, I found instances of issues with different modes of travel. Also, issues with communications and a hacking scandal.

Over the last few years, I’ve had Saturn transiting my 12th house of loss, retreat, self-undoing, and letting go. During that time, I had an epiphany about astrology. It started when I went to Lowell Observatory in Arizona in December 2023. It was then that I looked up at the sky and noticed Jupiter wasn’t in the constellation of Taurus as I’d assumed it was. It was actually in Aries. My sidereal awakening had begun.
