About the ISAA
The International Sidereal Astrology Association (ISAA) was founded in 2025 by a visionary team of astrologers, researchers, and spiritual scholars with one purpose: to establish a professional organization dedicated solely to sidereal astrology—the practice of reading planetary positions as they are actually found among the fixed stars.
Unlike traditional Western astrology, ISAA is committed to astronomical accuracy, historical integrity, and the advancement of astrology as a serious discipline rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern research.
Founded on the first New Moon following the Spring Equinox—the Sumerian and Babylonian New Year—and during a celestial eclipse, ISAA stands as a beacon for those who seek to reclaim the real sky.
We are a nonprofit association focused on education, certification, professional development, historical research, and advocacy for sidereal astrologers around the globe. We believe in rigorous standards, ethical practice, and the unification of astrology with its astronomical and esoteric origins.
ISAA Founders
Nicole Tennessen, President
Nicole is the original visionary behind the ISAA. A lifelong student of the mystery traditions and an avid researcher of esoteric wisdom, she saw a glaring need for an astrology organization grounded in real star alignments rather than abstract symbolism. Her passion for sidereal astrology, ancient teachings, and integrity in practice led to the formation of ISAA alongside her co-founders.
Abbeygale Quinn, Secretary
Abbeygale is a professional astrologer with over 25 years of experience, specializing in ancient Mesopotamian astrology and Sumerian studies. A Sumerologist and ordained minister, she is also a practicing Tantrika whose spiritual approach integrates astrology, mysticism, and devotion. She is one of the few sidereal astrologers focusing on pre-Greek astrological systems and translating them for modern use.
Elise Martin, Treasurer
Elise is a devoted student of the mystery schools and an experienced researcher of spiritual and occult traditions. Her love of astrology, ritual, and sacred symbolism led her to co-found ISAA to help restore astrology to its authentic astronomical roots. She brings practical insight, ceremonial depth, and a deep commitment to spiritual community-building.
